nostalgic sweet taste
In some cases, getting attached to a particular snack can be very dangerous. After all, we don’t know when that term will end. We’ve seen some very disappointing cancellations over the years. There are also some discontinued snacks that we still crave.
But even if your favorite candy bar or frozen dessert has disappeared from the shelves forever, there’s still hope. If the brands that let us down won’t bring back our favorite snacks, we’ll use these recipes to make the snacks ourselves.
1. Kudos Bar
Mars’ Kudos Bar was like a granola bar, a candy bar, and a Rice Krispie treat all rolled into one wrapper. Unfortunately, they were discontinued in 2017, but we’re still not craving them. Luckily, it’s easy to recreate at home.

2. Keebler Fudge Magic Middles
Keebler has offered some classic products over the years, but in the ’80s, these fudge-filled shortbread cookies were one of the most beloved. This recipe promises to recreate that amazing chocolate center that we love so much.

5. Philadelphia Strawberry Cheesecake Bar
We still don’t understand why Philadelphia chose to stick with cream cheese and do away with the snack bar, and we’ve never forgiven them. Thankfully, this copycat recipe exists to get us as close to the real thing as possible (and maybe even better).

6. Jello Pudding Pops
Jell-O Pudding Pops have to be one of the most beloved ice cream bars of all time. It’s still a shame that you can’t find them anywhere in the frozen food aisle anymore, but being able to recreate them with just three ingredients and a popsicle stick is a nice consolation prize.

7. Chocolate Taco
We have had to admit that we have been gutted many times over the last year due to soaring food and gas prices and the effects of the coronavirus. The wind has turned for the worse with Klondike discontinuing the Choco Taco in 2022. This recipe should help us until the Klondike pulls its head out from behind.

8. Butterfinger BB
When we discovered that a copycat recipe for Butterfinger BB existed, we were pretty giddy. And we were totally shocked to learn that all you need to make them is candy corn, peanut butter, and melted chocolate.

9. Hi-C Ecto Cooler
When “Ghostbusters” premiered in 1989, Hi-C released an Ecto cooler branded with the movie’s character Slimer. The bright green, citrus-flavored drink is iconic, and this recipe is very much his late ’80s flavor if you ask us.

10. Yogo
In the 2000s, Yogo was a chewy, fruit-flavored candy coated in a yogurt shell. Meanwhile, this recipe uses dried fruit in the center for a healthier spin.
