I used to wear full-coverage foundation every day, touching it up and reapplying it many times in my office bathroom. But when the pandemic hit, I had nowhere to go and focused everything on skincare. Over time, I had fewer breakouts, less irritation, and no longer needed to cover my skin.
Of course, I now spend more money on toners, serums, and moisturizers than I’d like to admit, and I’m always testing new products. However, the Derma E Vitamin C Concentrated Serum that I have been using regularly for the past two years has calmed my rosacea, reduced age spots, and evened out my skin tone. It’s almost 50% off on Amazon, so be sure to buy it!

💰 Why is this a good deal?
I found this serum in the clean skin care section at Whole Foods. The price was $25. But I recently discovered it on Amazon. There, they are often marked down to less than $15. It’s currently 46% off and just over $13. It’s a great value compared to similar vitamin C products that cost over $50 at Sephora.
🤔 Why do we need this?
Vitamin C is an antioxidant and helps fight toxins that come into contact with your skin. According to experts, regular use has many benefits for reducing fine lines and wrinkles, preventing sun damage, reducing age spots, and curing acne.
Other vitamin C products I’ve used have been a little too strong for my sensitive skin, but this serum is gentle. It does contain sodium ascorbyl phosphate, a type of vitamin C, but it is less effective and probably less potent than other types. It also contains hyaluronic acid, which helps the skin retain moisture, and aloe, which moisturises and soothes dry skin. This formula is not sticky at all and actually feels nice on the skin. I like to layer it over my hydrating toner and under my moisturizer and SPF.
If I continue to use Derma E, I will always receive compliments on my skin. No need to apply foundation anymore. A light-colored moisturizer is all you need. I especially like using this when I have rosacea. It’s usually after hanging out in the cold, windy winter air or in the sun for a long time.
💬 Reviewer opinions
And on Amazon, Derma E has over 4,900 5-star reviews from shoppers who say it’s a multitasking skin superhero.
👍 Pros
One satisfied customer said, “My skin has become brighter.” “I use this every morning. My skin looks glowing and hydrated. My mother, who is 70 years old, used this. Her skin was so glowing that I asked her what she was using. I ordered it and I can’t believe I love it so much! I have sensitive skin and this doesn’t irritate me at all.”
“This is real! Amazing!” wrote another 5-star fan. “So far, the dark spots around my hairline are starting to fade, and the dark spots on my nose are starting to fade. But the most dramatic change in my skin is… [the] Nose pores are unclogged! completely! My overall complexion has become brighter and my wrinkles have almost disappeared. ”
Another reviewer said: “I’m 51 and I think I’m on my 4th bottle.” “The size of the bottle is great value and the serum is great too. I use it on my chest, neck, and face at least once a day. It’s great to use under your moisturizer or sunscreen.”
Some shoppers agreed it was great for calming redness and said: “I love this product!” I wrote one. “I have rosacea and nothing helps when I have severe inflammation. I use this every night and when I wake up in the morning, most of the redness is gone and my skin is clear and smooth. ”
👎 Cons
Of course, everyone’s skin is different. “Not good, not bad,” one shopper wrote. “The scent of the product is sweet and citrusy, not overpowering, but the packaging is nice and I like the texture of the gel. However, I can’t say I’ve noticed any improvement in my skin. I’ve been using it for about 2 months. .”
There is one thing to note. For best results, do not stack vitamin C with retinol, AHA, BHA, copper peptides, or benzoyl peroxide. These chemicals can reduce effectiveness or even cause irritation. Also, pay attention to the expiry date. Over time, vitamin C can become oxidized and unstable, making it less effective. For the same reason, store away from direct sunlight and heat.
