A biohacker who spends $2 million a year trying to reverse aging has stunned people by sharing a photo of what he looked like before starting his anti-aging project.
Brian Johnson, 46, recently posted a photo of himself to show off the physical changes he’s undergone since starting Project Blueprint.
The biohacker first announced his extreme anti-aging endeavor in 2021 and has continued to document his progress on social media, going so far as to say he’s “not going to die.”
But understandably, many have questions about what exactly Brian is going through.
What is a biohacker?
A biohacker is someone who experiments with technology themselves and collects data on the human body to determine what works best for them.
In Brian’s case, he is self-experimenting with extreme anti-aging and longevity methods to reverse his biological age.
What does his “rigorous” daily routine include?
Brian’s intensive routine includes set calorie goals, intermittent fasting, taking daily supplements and medications, a strict sleep schedule, red light therapy, and more.
He has a team of 30 doctors, led by Cambridge-based anti-aging expert Dr Oliver Zollman, who closely monitor his blood, heart, liver, kidneys, brain, blood vessels and sexual health. I’m monitoring it.

Brian is a vegan who consumes just 1,977 calories per day and his diet consists primarily of whole foods.
He wakes up at 4:30 a.m. every day, exercises for an hour, sleeps in an empty room, and takes dozens of supplements.
merit
Brian claims that Project Blueprint has given him the lung capacity and fitness levels of an 18-year-old, the heart of a 37-year-old, and the skin of a 28-year-old.
He once told the BBC: “My left ear is 64 years old, my fitness test is 18 years old, my heart is 37 years old and my diaphragm is 18 years old,” adding that some parts of my body are older than others. acknowledged.
Of course, there are simpler anti-aging methods, such as eating well and exercising regularly, but they won’t set you back millions of pounds.

So Brian’s internal clock is getting younger, but what about his external clock?
The American entrepreneur joked this week that he has changed so much physically that his smartphone’s Face ID feature no longer recognizes him.
“Even my Face ID is confused. I’m transitioning…” Brian told X yesterday, posting three photos of himself (one from 2018, one from 2023 and the The photo is from this year).
Brian’s appearance has clearly changed since 2018, with his face becoming slimmer and his complexion looking more defined.
But is it really effective?
Although Brian claims his experiment was a success and reduced his biological age, the entrepreneur’s project has faced criticism from experts.
Longevity scientist Andrew Steele has previously stated that genetics plays the biggest role in determining a person’s life expectancy and that genetics cannot be changed.
Meanwhile, Moshe Schiff, a professor of pharmacology and therapeutics, shared his doubts about whether science can achieve the results Brian claims to have achieved.
