Peloton is expanding its Barre and Pilates modalities and adding new accessories. Peloton shared the news through its weekly “Peloton of the Week” @PelotonStudios Instagram post.
Take your Barre + Pilates workout to the next level with accessories. Hannah, Aditi, Allie, Anna, and Christine will show you how to use mini-girlfriend bands, slides, and other tools. A perfect addition to your holiday wishlist.
Peloton’s regularly rotating barre and Pilates instructors Hannah Corbin, Aditi Shah, Ally Love, Anna Greenberg, and Kristin McGee will all be teaching classes with the new accessories. Many instructors post on their social media accounts about what to expect in upcoming classes.
On Wednesday, December 13th, Allie Love taught two different barre classes utilizing bands. This includes a 5 minute class and his 15 minute pop punk barre.
Christine McGee teased a video earlier this week showing her using a Pilates ring. As teased, she ended up using it during her 30-minute Pilates class on December 15th.
Aditi Shah’s 15-minute Pop Punk Pilates class used sliders as an accessory this week.
For those who may not have a Pilates ring but are interested in purchasing one to use in class, Kristin announced on her Instagram Story earlier this week that she has a Pilates ring for both firm and medium levels. Recommended specific devices from Amazon (affiliate link) provided by Amazon.
At the time of publication, that device won’t ship for several months, but Amazon has plenty of other options like this one and this one.
As for the Pilates slider, Aditi Shah used the Lululemon brand Workout Pilates slider. However, Amazon has some cheaper options (1/4 the price) and you can see some here and here.
For a mini band, Ally Love used a set of resistance bands from Lululemon (Peloton recently announced a five-year partnership with Lululemon). However, you can also find much cheaper options on Amazon, such as this one and this one .
In some classes, members will also see equipment such as balls, according to images shared on social media.
Note that Peloton does not currently manufacture this equipment, but there are many options available through lululemon, Amazon, or other retailers. Some of them are linked above.
For those unfamiliar, Barre and Pilates both fall within the “Intensity” modality, and each has its own filter options under “Class Type.”
Are you excited to see new accessories and props utilized in your barre or Pilates class?
