Every day we come into contact with energies that have a huge impact on our mood and well-being.
Have you ever walked into a fun and exciting party? You immediately felt at ease and caught up in the festivities. Or have you ever been to one of the unfortunate Mary Tyler Moore parties? That’s what I affectionately call them. In the TV show of the same name, Mary always hosted terrible parties. Her friends got involved and got into arguments with each other. No one had a good time. The energy of such events feels dead, heavy, and forced.
Many years ago, when I knew nothing about energy, I spent a day in the hospital with a friend waiting for surgery. Every hour the surgery was delayed further and she could no longer eat or drink, so I also drank without eating. At the end of the day, they wheeled her in her wheelchair to her operating room. The nurse asked her to check into the waiting room downstairs before going to get her food. That way they can contact me if they need me.
The waiting room was quite large, with a round nurse’s station in the center. As I entered the room, I felt all the color drain from my face and my legs began to shake. The feeling of anxiety and pain in that room was completely overwhelming. I quickly turned, grabbed onto the doorway, and collapsed into a folding chair just outside the room.

I quickly realized what the problem was. For decades, loved ones and friends sat in that room, desperately worrying about their loved one undergoing surgery. That anxiety had been building up over the years and I could feel it. I’m sure my experience was more dramatic because I hadn’t eaten anything all day. However, I would like to share that this is not a unique experience. Since then, I have felt the same energy in every hospital waiting room. The only difference between me and the other people in the room is that I can feel what is in the energy around us all because I am more aware of it. Hospitals do not understand emotional energy and how it needs to be purified. If so, it could be a much healthier environment for patients and their families.
I share this story for two important reasons. Please be aware that highly toxic energy can accumulate in many environments, including your home. Whether you or someone in your family is suffering from illness, stress, or depression; more Important to clear. We hope that you will get into the habit of tidying up your home on a regular basis.
The second reason is to take steps to vigorously protect ourselves every day and strengthen that shield when entering places like hospitals, prisons, and even concert halls and bars. Whenever people gather, there is a collective energy in the space. It often contains energy that we don’t want to perceive or feel.

How to clear energy
Before you clear out your space, clear out your own energy. Just as you cleanse your body regularly, it is important to cleanse your field of funky and dirty energies. Some of it invariably stems from your own stress, illness, or painful emotions. Some may have been picked up from other people or places. Think of it as energy hygiene. I cleanse myself in the morning, between clients, and at the end of the day.
Visualize the release of negative energy
Visualization can be done anytime, anywhere, even while sitting in a crowded airport. If you think you’re not good at visualization, please give it a try. As with anything, practice makes it easier. Moreover, you are not just imagining it, you are creating an actual energy shift that you will soon feel.
If you are religious or spiritual, you can ask God for help in this process. Here’s how:
- Set an intention to release your own negative energy and all that you have received from others. I like to say: I easily release all energy from myself and others that no longer serve me. I am doing this in my own best interest.
- Imagine a small golden ball of light shining in the center of your chest, expanding with each breath.
- Breathe in and out from your chest and imagine the light expanding with each breath.
- Spread the light throughout your entire body. Look at it on your head, torso, arms, and toes.
- Then spread it beyond your skin until the light spreads out in all directions about arm’s length.
- Followed by shielding (see below).
Yes, it’s that simple and it’s do work. If you do this regularly, you will find yourself becoming calmer, more peaceful, less reactive, and more balanced.

Use minerals to eliminate toxicity
Remove toxins from your body by dissolving 1 cup of sea salt and 1 cup of baking soda in a warm bathtub. If you don’t want to take a full body bath, you can also use it as a foot bath. Prepare an inexpensive container and pour hot water into it. Reduce the amount of sea salt and baking soda to about 1/4 cup each. As a bonus, it’s good for your skin and great for grounding.
Try this energy healing practice for cleansing
1. Place the middle fingertips of both hands on your forehead between the eyebrows.
2. Trace along the center of your forehead, across the top of your head (imagine your hair parted in the middle), and along the center of the back of your head until it joins your neck. your shoulders. Next, stroke your shoulders with both hands. The left hand strokes the left side of the shoulder. The right hand crosses the right.
3. At this time, breathe in through your nose and exhale through your mouth.
How to free up space
Complete all of the exercises below to set your tidying intentions. If you don’t agree on why you’re doing something, you won’t get any satisfactory results even if you actually take action. Intention itself changes energy.

salt water spritz
Get a spray bottle and fill it with distilled water and sea salt. Shake until the salt dissolves.
1. Start by getting yourself dirty. Spray near the body. Spread it all over your body, over your head, under your armpits, then lift one leg at a time and spray. To do the back, spray in front and then turn around.

practice shield
I’m a giant sponge. No matter where you go, you absorb everything around you. When it comes to learning, this is an asset as you can absorb information from classes and books very quickly and deeply. As for the rest of my life, it’s a clear responsibility. When I volunteered in prisons, I left them feeling great sadness and sometimes physical pain. I concluded that I was too sensitive to continue volunteering there. At that time I didn’t know how to protect myself. Here’s how:
1. Imagine there is a large bubble around you, about an arm’s length from your body, expanding in all directions.
2. Think of this bubble as a solid wall, or a filter that completely covers you. Let this bubble (or shield) act as a cell wall and use its intelligence to let in love and positive energy. Do not allow all negativity to hit the shield, slip away and be neutralized by the earth. (Another option is to imagine there’s a mirror outside the shield, so anything sent to you will be reflected back to the person who sent it.) Frankly, I prefer my method above because I want to reduce negative energy in the world.)
3. Fill the bubbles with golden light.
