The wellness side of TikTok is currently filled with innovative Pilates content. Although it’s been around for a while, interest has recently skyrocketed, especially with the influx of beautiful new studios in London. But few can match the charm of Nobu Pilates, the ultra-glamorous fitness studio beloved by the likes of Maya Jama, Nicola Roberts and Rochelle Humes. Here’s an overview:
What is Nobu Pilates?
Opening in 2021, Nobu Pilates is a sophisticated and innovative Pilates studio located within Nobu Hotel London Portman Square. The studio is located in a large, light-filled room overlooking Portman Square, with plenty of space between the reformers, alongside other Pilates equipment such as the Cadillac and Tower.
The studio is led by Marsha Lindsay, who originally trained at Pi Studio and went on to work at acclaimed fitness brand Equinox before focusing on launching Nobu Pilates. While most hotel gyms are restricted to hotel guests only, this one is open to everyone and has a variety of classes to choose from. There are also cafes where you can refuel with a smoothie or poke bowl after your meal. Of course, there is also the famous restaurant “Nobu” in the hotel.
What classes are offered?
Nobu Pilates combines classic Pilates with high-intensity training and offers three concepts:
- Power: High energy HIIT style class.
- accuracy: This carefully planned class focuses on specific muscle groups such as your upper and lower body.
- Pure: Traditional Pilates classes use a variety of equipment, including reformers, towers, and chairs, to give you a fun, full-body workout.
Clients can also arrange one-on-one classes with Marsha. It starts with a full body analysis to detect body imbalances and can be used to create a bespoke workout tailored to your individual body and goals.
How much does Nobu Pilates cost?
Surprisingly, it’s not cheap. A single class at Nobu Pilates costs £37, but you can also book 5 classes for £175, 10 classes for £330 or 20 classes for £620.
You can also purchase a gift certificate that includes a stretch and sushi offer. This includes a boxed lunch at Nobu Restaurant after class.
