ZEELAND — In a time when society seems to focus on the negative, one Zeeland company is doing its part to spread positivity and kindness.
Wellness Co. serves Zeeland and the surrounding areas as a comprehensive healing and wellness facility offering services such as chiropractic work, massage, medspa, and family practice care. Throughout April, the practitioner is embarking on a campaign to spread kindness in the community.
Each team member was given a bundle of gift cards to Wellness of Zeeland and Drip Coffee to randomly distribute to patients. A total of 150 gift cards will be distributed, and the timing of distribution will be at the discretion of staff.

“What we’re doing is a campaign called ‘Be Kind,'” said co-founder Dr. Kelsey Prince. “We’re just trying to spread random acts of kindness to people who come to Wellness, Inc. and hopefully make a positive impact on their lives that day and hopefully have a ripple effect in the community.”
Prince said the idea came from a recent trip to a coffee shop where someone paid for her drink. It was just a few dollar purchase, but it got her wheels turning.
“It was pretty shocking, just to know that even though there’s so much not-so-good stuff going on in the world, there’s still good stuff happening,” she said. “Whether you’re the person sharing the act or the person receiving it, it can have a huge impact. The whole idea is to spread kindness and bring good into the world.” It’s about making someone’s day better by reminding them that there is.”

Wellness Co. began serving the community in 2020. Two years later he expanded and added his MedSpa portion to the business.

The business impacts customers every day through its services, and the new Pay It Forward campaign is intended to be a kind start, with the campaign continuing even after customers have finished booking.
“We live in a really great community, and I hope people will embrace this and be willing to pay forward,” Prince said. “The ripple effect is real and can impact many people. Our goal is simple: spread kindness and remind people that there is still a lot of good in this world.” That’s the thing.”
