SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (The Good Thing about Utah) — She hopes to uplift others through her nonprofit Happy Brain, and joined us on set to share more . Riley Poulin is the current Miss Utah County and founded Happy Brain in 2020 to raise awareness and interest in mental health. After struggling with her own mental health issues, she wanted to provide a safe space, resources, and reminder that you are not alone to those suffering from her. Since then, she has worked with mental health experts to create the Happy Her Brain Her curriculum. We teach K-12 students how to build resilience and a happy brain space through healthy coping skills. The curriculum consists of seven units, which vary according to age.
Additionally, she shared Happy Brain’s Dopamine Day event lineup. The Happy Brain Conference and Dopamine Dance Party at the River Bridge Event Center in Spanish Fork begins April 10 at 6:30 p.m. Utah’s favorite Tia Be Stokes shares her own story of resilience through her battle with cancer, followed by Dopamine Her Dance Her Party.
Pauline will also be offering “Happy Brain Rhythm Ride,” an indoor rhythm cycling class. This will be held on the morning of April 13th, one at 8:15 a.m. and the other at 9:30 a.m. at the C Cycle House in Spanish Fork. We welcome people of all fitness levels and encourage you to take classes at your own pace. Money raised on Dopamine Day will be donated to the Chelsea C. Christ Memorial Fund for Mental Health. By participating in Dopamine Day, you can offer help and hope to those experiencing mental health issues. This will ensure that individuals and families affected by mental health issues do not have to travel alone.
