If you’re passionate about supporting Manchester, eat better, move more and connect with OtThe Manchester Wellness Coalition (MWC) would like to hear from you about her views on healthy practices and avoiding unhealthy substances. Starting April 1, 2024, MWC will have her $25,000 budget to support local wellness projects that impact local residents. The sponsoring organization must be a 501c3 or have a nonprofit fiscal representative. Proposals must address one of these four pillars of the 5 Healthy Towns Foundation.
In addition to funding large-scale projects, MWC has $2,500 available to support one-time sponsorship events. Last year, the coalition funded the 5 Healthy Towns Farm to Table event, a community meal at Emanuel Church of Christ, and other local programs.
Coalition Chair Ray Berg reported at the March MWC meeting that special consideration will be given to proposals that support senior living communities. “Elderly people in the Greater Manchester areas “The Council (MASCC) has had to endure some major changes over the past year, and the Wellness Coalition is looking for ways to help,” Ray said.
