As part of Public Health Week 2024, the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health has officially reopened the Whittier Wellness Community.
Whittier Wellness Community (WWC) provides free resources and services to under-resourced communities, focusing on three key areas: healing and trauma prevention, and connecting opportunities for recovery and overall health and wellness. I’m guessing.
“With the reopening of Whittier Wellness Community, we are closing the gap in health care and wellness services and listening to our residents about what they need to be healthy,” said the Los Angeles County Department of Health. Dr. Barbara Ferrer said in a media release. “Whittier Wellness Her Community’s goal is simple: increase access for residents of underserved communities to the resources they need for health and well-being.”
Whittier Wellness Community is located at 7643 South Painter Avenue and is open Monday through Friday with varying hours.
- Monday to Wednesday: 8am to 4pm
- Thursday: 10am to 7pm
- Friday: 8am to 4pm
As of December 2023, WWC and its community partners served 18,627 community members through produce distribution, mental health services, community workshops, wellness activities, and substance use disorder support, officials said. Stated.
