A naturopath has revealed his natural energy hack is ‘so easy and embarrassing’ that most people don’t do it.
Crystal Blanchard, a practicing physician at Durham Natural Health Center in Ontario, Canada, has more than 38,000 followers on TikTok and educates others about gut health.
A content creator who goes by the handle @drchristalnd recently shared an overlooked habit that mostly increases energy and cost.
“I have an energy hack that’s so cheap and easy that it feels silly to talk about it,” she admitted at the beginning of the video.
“But I feel foolish not to talk about this, because it’s so easy and cheap that we should all be doing it. And I’m sure most of you aren’t.”
Blanchard explained that whenever she’s experiencing an energy slump, she thinks about getting a cup of coffee or checking to see if she’s scheduled to get her vitamin B12 vaccination.
“I started thinking about external things I could put into my body that were quick-acting and helped boost my energy,” she said.
“But the other day I decided to test the waters.”
She admitted that it “sounds ridiculous” and that she’s already “drinking a lot of water.”
However, I had a busy day and wasn’t able to stay as hydrated as usual.
“So I drank water, and within a few hours it really felt like I had drunk coffee,” she recalled.
“No, it didn’t give me the instant pick-me-up or perks like coffee, but it did give me long-lasting, sustainable energy.
“Thanks to that, I didn’t crash after that, and it made me think about how many people I see coming into practice with fatigue.
“I always watch their intake form and they don’t always drink enough water.”
Blanchard said she does all these things to treat fatigue, including adrenal support and vitamin B12 injections, but the answer may be as simple as staying hydrated.
She explained in on-screen text that water increases energy because it reduces inflammation, improves constipation, reduces brain fog, and supports natural detoxification.
“While I emphasize the importance of water, I don’t think we realize how important and influential water is to the functioning of our brains and bodies,” she concluded.
“If you’re low on energy and you’ve tried everything…try this,” she added in the caption.
“If you are not used to drinking a lot of water, it may take a week or two to see results.
‘you [may] Also, if water is passing through the body, Himalayan salts and minerals should be added to help absorb water into the cells. ”
