Tom Parker Bowles, Queen Camilla’s son, will publish a royal cookbook this fall. Cooking and the Crown: Royal Recipes from Queen Victoria to Charles III It features over 100 recipes for everything from breakfast to state dinners, and includes stories about royal chefs and kitchens.
“As a food history geek, I can’t express how excited I was to write this book,” Parker Bowles said in a statement. “Read the original recipe in the Royal Archives at Windsor, and get lost in the lives and reigns (and eating habits) of monarchs from Queen Victoria onwards. But this is a roasted cygnet, ortolan and snipe stuffed with foie gras. This is a cookbook filled with recipes that I loved to cook. I hope you do too. ”

It’s one of the few meals that can be described as fully British,” he explained.
