Pvolve, a fitness method that combines functional movement with unique strength training equipment, will open its first location in Algonquin on Saturday, April 6th.
The new studio in Algonquin Commons, 1732 S. Randall Road, offers Pvolve’s signature low-impact fitness training method. The facility is owned and operated by Tracy Izquierdo, a local resident and single mother with a passion for health and wellness.
After earning a nursing degree from Ohio State University, Izquierdo changed direction and attended law school. She worked as a lawyer for her 14 years but decided to spend more time with her family as her children entered high school.
During this time, Izquierdo fell in love with Pilates and became a certified Pilates instructor. Having undergone three anterior cruciate ligament surgeries on his right knee, Izquierdo understands the value of low-impact training and focuses on increasing mobility while providing a highly effective and sustainable workout. We highly value Pvolve.
“I was drawn to Pvolve because it felt empowering,” Izquierdo said. “For me, he said what made Pvolve different from other fitness concepts was its focus on functional movement and the science behind its methods. He wanted the Algonquin community to benefit from this; I quickly learned that it was unlike any other fitness concept.”
Pvolve Algonquin offers membership options to suit a variety of fitness needs, schedules, and spending levels. His three tiers of membership include Unlimited, Starter, and Flex. Sign up for a charter membership before the grand opening event on May 3rd and receive a lifetime discount.
Founding members receive additional benefits including access to on-demand and live virtual classes on Pvolve.com and the Pvolve app, pre-booking periods, member-only events, and 10% off equipment purchases.
“The opening of our Algonquin studio is a huge moment for our brand as it marks our second location in Illinois,” said Pvolve President Julie Cartwright. “And we couldn’t have asked for a better partner than Tracy. Tracy’s career and her impressive history as a single parent are an inspiration to women in business.”
