This “Witch on Fire” side chat video demonstrated the process of waking up and charging a bowl of water for use on the altar. Then, we talked about the preparation of Charge Moon Water, which starts with making flower essences. That process will be shared in this article. The topic of lunar magic will be discussed, as well as the connection between the Tarot Priestess card and the High Priestess’ regalia. Click on the image below to watch the video!
flower essence and moonwater
The powers of water and the moon are closely connected on every level, which is why creating and charging water for magical purposes can be powerful, especially if our goal is to balance our emotional health. It makes sense that it would help in the practice of lunar magic. Flowers do not bloom all year round, so it is the duty of a wise witch to prepare them when they are in bloom in some way that can sustain their energetic help throughout the year.
What are flower essences? Aromatherapist Kathy Skipper writes about flower essence preparations as a metaphysical way to treat physical ailments, addressing the root causes of illness as originating in the mind and spirit. She defined them as follows: “Flower essences are the vibrational messages of flowers transmitted to water through solarization, and the vibrational resonances of flowers are memorized by water.” [1]
Flowers + spring water + sunlight + alcohol = flower essence.
We can easily apply our magical knowledge to increase the force of this water. Here’s how to adjust this:
Specific flowers corresponding to the moon + specific spring water + sun in specific zodiac sign + specific moon phase + various moonstones + grape brandy = moon water potion
The process of making flower essences as moonwater is very simple. I decided to use gardenia.
Gardenia: moon flower
gardenia My favorite flower in all of creation is the delicate white, sweet-smelling gardenia. In my opinion, there is no flower as sublime as the gardenia, nor as gorgeous, feminine and romantic as the gardenia. And Gardenia occupies a position ten times more prestigious than her in the Witch’s Moon Garden.
Gardenia corresponds to all water signs (Cancer, Pisces, Scorpio), the receptive goddess force, and the heart chakra. Of course, the ruler of that planet is the Moon, so Monday is the Moon’s day. Magical intentions that gardenias help with include connection to the astral plane, compassion, emotional balance, friendship and harmony, love and marriage, female empowerment, and happiness.
Things necessary:
- I used gardenias on a sunny day when your flower of choice is blooming nearby. Jasmine, mugwort, lemon, lily, and iris are all moon flowers.
- 9 moonstone chips
- A glass or crystal bowl consecrated for magical purposes.
- Mason jars to store at least 24 ounces of water.
- A funnel or glass measuring cup with a spout.
- 12 oz of fresh spring, naturally harvested, or well water is never tap water because it has been treated in a way that is not suitable for our purposes. If you buy water, aim for the one that comes in a glass. In honor of Diana, the Roman goddess of the moon, we used spring water from Tuscany, Italy.
- 12 ounces grape brandy.
Here are the steps:
Gather what you need on a sunny day when the waxing moon continues toward the full moon, preferably on a Monday when the flowers you want to use are blooming. Disinfect any crystal or ceramic bowls you have consecrated for magical purposes, as well as garden sheers and flower cutting bowls.
Connect with the spirit of the flowering plant and often ask if it can help with your magic. In this case, talk to the plant about the purpose of working with the moon in the astral realm and creating flower essences for water divination and emotional balancing. Tap into the earth’s chi, or natural energy, around you and send that flow of loving energy and intention to your plants through your hands. Wait until you feel a positive reaction. That’s the polite thing to do. Be grateful and give the roots fresh water.
Cut the flowers into multiples of 3 and drop them directly into the consecrated bowl. Pour spring water over the flowers until the bowl is full. Add various stones and crystals of your choice to charge these waters. Leave the bowl with flowers in direct sunlight for 4-5 hours.
Use chopsticks or tongs to remove the flowers from the water and place them on a rack or tray to dry (the dried flowers can also be used in dried herb blends). Be careful not to touch water. your hands.
Blend water and grape brandy in a 50/50 ratio and bottle. Label the time and date, as well as any other astrological information related to this moment of creation, including the lunar sigil for that phase. Make sure you transfer any stone fragments to the bottle as well.
That night, place the bottle under the light of a full moon for a lunar charge. Voila!
Uses of floral water
Charged floral waters of this nature can be used as “mother tinctures” to condition other waters for ritual and magical purposes. The magical “law of contagion” that explains how the vibrations of one aspect spread to other things it touches. Simply add 9 drops of charged floral water to any other fresh water to tune into the power of the moon.
- Welcome the water elemental by adding it to the dish of consecrated water on your altar.
- Add to the black bowl or cauldron used for water divination.
- Before fortune-telling, use this water to anoint the third eye chakra.
- Use to anoint the heart chakra for emotional balance.
- You can also add 9 drops to a spray bottle to mist your aura or pillow before tackling your dreams.
- Anoint oil as a means of charging amulets and talismans for any purpose related to the moon.
- We recommend creating a spiritual bath by filling a bathtub with hot water and meditating while soaking. Especially recommended during the full moon.
