MATTAWAN, N.J.—An acupuncturist who runs a clinic in Matawan has been criminally charged with sexually assaulting one of his patients, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago announced.
Dr. Jen Quan, 57, is the clinical director of Prosperity Health Center, located at 952 Rt. 34 in Matawan.
Matawan Police received a call on Thursday, January 25th, from a female patient who had scheduled an acupuncture treatment and reported that she had just been sexually assaulted.

Quan, who also lives in Matawan, was charged with one count of second-degree sexual assault and one count of fourth-degree criminal sexual contact.
Quan was arrested without incident last Thursday, February 1st. He is being held in the Monmouth County Jail this Wednesday pending his first appearance in Monmouth County Superior Court on February 7th.
