Summer is back and before we know it, we are already in the third week of July. We need something cool to beat the heat, but it feels like we haven’t even hit the peak of the heat yet. Fruits are great for breaking up a boring diet, as they are not only packed with water (keeping you hydrated) but also have a lot of flavor. Eat them as a snack between meals, at breakfast, lunch, or any time. But please, eat them. Not only will they help you beat the heat, they will also help improve your digestive system and give you vitamins. If possible, don’t juice them, otherwise you will lose all their beneficial properties. Finally, they are a strong diuretic, helping to remove toxins from the body. Plus, nothing is more relaxing than cutting and eating melon with the whole family at the porch table.

peach

They are undoubtedly one of the kings of summer fruits. They are high in fiber, nearly 87% water and have a high potassium content (not only bananas). But peaches’ strength is their beta-carotene (provitamin A) and vitamins C and E content. They are a great choice as a supplement and also taste great when in season. Slice one, eat it and savor the benefits.

Custard Apple (Chirimoya)

A fruit that helps the brain. It helps neurons communicate with each other. And that’s not the only benefit, it’s also a natural protector against infections and parasites, thanks to its high fiber content. As you can see, it’s a very complete fruit and also very tasty straight out of the fridge. Go to your favorite fruit store and buy some.

melon

Among its many other benefits, melon is great for your skin, helps eliminate toxins, prevents stomach pains and relieves heartburn, is a natural laxative, and lastly, it is good for your eyesight and prevents cellular aging. It is a fruit with many properties, whether eaten alone or with other fruits or cured ham.

watermelon

Watermelon is one of the best antioxidants for your body and of course, it’s also one of the tastiest fruits. Its high water content helps keep your body hydrated. Plus, watermelon is great to eat on an empty stomach as it contains enzymes that aid digestion, are rich in fiber, and promote nutrient absorption. As mentioned above, watermelon is a fruit with high water content, making it easy to digest and perfect to eat at any time of the day, including at night. Is it the perfect fruit to make you feel full without gaining weight? Absolutely.

strawberry

Perhaps strawberries should be considered the queen of all fruits. They are the fruit of June, but they can also be enjoyed in July. Strawberries, like most berries (if not all), are rich in dietary fiber, antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals that help maintain gut health. They are also delicious. They can be eaten with orange juice, cream, chocolate, or simply on their own. In addition, some of the compounds found in strawberries help regulate blood sugar levels. Finally, one cup of strawberries contains only about 43 calories, making them ideal for weight loss.

mango

It is one of the best fruits in Malaga, and the best can be found in the Axarquia region. It is rich in amino acids, vitamins C and E, is easy to digest, and is good for cancer (especially prostate cancer), but is also very good for the skin. Mangoes are good for unclogging pores, and those who suffer from acne can benefit from mangoes. It is also a fruit that can be combined with other dishes such as salads, poke or sushi. It has a very tropical taste and is very good in terms of nutrition.

plum

Another staple in any summer after-dinner meal. Plums are a good source of Vitamin C, which also acts as an antioxidant, directly slowing down cellular aging. In addition to all these properties, they are also rich in potassium and calcium. Plums have long been used as a natural remedy to regulate intestinal transit, or as a home laxative when consumed in large quantities.

fig

This is a fruit that is harvested at the end of summer, specifically at the end of August, but can be eaten a few weeks earlier to take advantage of its quality and flavor. This fruit is high in fiber, which is great for improving intestinal transit and digestive health. It is also very good for the skin, and is a great antioxidant, which is one of its secrets.
