Start
- Find a quiet place where you can sit up straight and comfortably, such as the edge of your bed, the floor, or a chair.
- Close your eyes and focus on your breathing or another focal point to be fully present.
- Relax your body by loosening your shoulders, loosening your jaw, and softening your eyebrows.
Mindful meditation for when you’re feeling overwhelmed and burnt out
Working from home is a privilege many of us have been given post-pandemic. What should I be careful about? The lines of where the workday ends have become blurred. Not to mention adding pet and childcare duties into the equation to supplement the responsibilities previously taken on by care centers and sitters, and you have a recipe for burnout.
We are stressed, worried, and overwhelmed, and that’s understandable. But what is actually causing these pressures? In this meditation, we explore our inner stories and self-imposed expectations, and find strategies to restore balance to our busy lives.
