Happy (early) Easter! Whether you’re celebrating the holidays or not, here are some delicious recipes you’ll want to try.

What’s on the menu at your house?Perhaps a classic Times recipe like Maelitsa Greek Easter Soup or roasted lamb and turnipand spring peas and herb potato on the side.

My family’s Easter dinner is very similar to what we eat at Christmas and Thanksgiving. Seafood gumbo, honey baked ham, and cornbread dressing are holiday staples for us. Sometimes I add green beans, potatoes, or sweet potato pie for a little variation.

However, most menus have plenty of savory dishes and not many sweet dishes.

What better time than now to change things?

With the help of my Times colleagues and contributors, I’m heading into the holidays with more recipes than I can cook.

Here are six items to make your holiday even more fulfilling.

When we think of Easter, eggs immediately come to mind. Whether hard-boiled or egg-shaped milk chocolate shells.Let’s recreate Cadbury Creme Egg this recipe. It will take an hour and a half and will yield three and a half eggs.

Making this pie requires an early start. However, you can roll or flute the dough the night before. Make the pie filling near baking time, as the meringue mixture needs to be made at the last moment.
