HONOLULU (KHON2) — The 13th annual Pacific Festival of Arts and Culture (FestPAC) will feature Ekalesia, an ecumenical service showcasing the profound spiritual heritage and diverse cultures of the Pacific Islands.

The ceremony promises to be a heartfelt celebration of the deep-rooted spirituality of Pacific nations.
Planned as a traditional church service, the event aims to embody the spiritual essence unique to Pacific cultures, providing a space for communal worship and offering participants an opportunity to honour and express their shared faith.
The program will include hymn singing, readings, prayer and reflection, highlighting the spiritual connections and cultural richness that exist throughout the Pacific Islands, and will feature choral performances from various Pacific Island nations, adding to the worship atmosphere.
Elder Pastor Farelua Lafitaga of EFKAS Kanana Hu Congregational Christian Church will give an opening prayer to set the tone for the service. Senior Pastor Kahu Kenneth Makuakane of Kawaiahao Church will deliver a message during the service.
Participants who wish to attend the service must register through eTicket Hawaii.
The ceremony is scheduled to take place on Sunday, June 9, 2024 at 12:00 PM and will run from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Stan Sheriff Centre.
