Spiritual or Spirituality?
Spiritual or Spirituality?
by Sherry Anshara —
What if being spiritual means being connected to your deepest level of consciousness? What if spirit and spirituality mean the actualized physical expression in which you experience an experience? According to the workshop “Wordology Is Your Biology,” the word “spirit” means you spear “it,” which means you get “it,” with “it” standing for inner truth. Trusting your inner truth means trusting yourself.
Spirituality means being connected to your body’s intelligence, to yourself and to all the innermost aspects of who you are. Contrary to what some may think, going out of body and leaving your body to fend for itself is not practical spirituality. You have all the answers within you. The more you travel out of your body, the more you lose connection with your inner self. Escaping or leaving the body is not ascension. Ascension is being grounded and consciously clear, which is the ultimate goal in your duality and third-dimensional body.
When you are out of focus and running around the ethers, the more confused your answers will be to meaningful questions like: Why am I here; what is my purpose; or why do I repeat patterns? You will also search to find yourself “out there,” whether the out there is in another dimension or another place on this planet. The key to finding answers lies in staying grounded so you can travel inwardly, wisely and with purpose.
Your body is the vehicle that is being used to experience life here on planet Earth. You came here to experience all that you are creating, from moment to moment, each day. In order to do that effectively, you must be grounded in your body. Then you can experience duality, a third dimension and any other dimensions, as long as you understand that it is you creating these experiences of your life or lifetimes in your continuum.
There is no other place to find yourself except inside of you. You have all the answers; you just have to pose the questions in the correct way. You must be true to yourself about your creativity and experiences. The belief systems of right and wrong can change from eon to eon, or your own age or stage in life.
Always remember to ask yourself: Are the experiences I am creating correct for me; and do I love my experiences? If not, maybe it is time to go deeper inside yourself and find out what is truly going on. Be ready to accept the truth of your answers. Changes from the inside out bring clarity and connect you to your clear consciousness. Working from the outside in to get answers can take lifetimes, and sometimes you never get it right. Do not waste too much creativity or time frustrated over it. Just being true to yourself will suffice.
The truth is you are a human and a spirit. You are both spirit and spirituality. Your experiences are the evidence of your spirituality, so pay attention to what they are telling you.
